Please take a read through our terms and conditions. By making payment for an order, you are agreeing to these terms.
DEPOSITS/ PAYMENT
Liberty's Cottage Bakery requires a non-refundable deposit for all orders, the exact amount will be specified on ordering. If a deposit isn't received, your booking will not be secure and the date will still be available for others to book. For celebration cakes, a deposit will be £20-40. For other orders such as cupcakes, brownies, etc, a 50% deposit is required and full payment should be received 1 week before the collection date. If payment is not received, your order may be at risk. Please set a payment reminder in your phone/diary. Any orders placed with under a weeks notice require full payment within 24 hours.
COLLECTION/ DELIVERY
Orders are collection only. Delivery may be an option in exceptional circumstances at an additional charge. A suitable time for collection will be arranged with you. Please make sure you are on time. Orders are made according to your collection time and I may need the fridge space for the next cake. I also have other work and family commitments which may result in me being unavailable if you arrive much later than planned. Please get in touch if you are running late so we can come to an alternative arrangement.
ALLERGENS
Liberty's Cottage Bakery uses a variety of ingredients in the kitchen. Please be aware that this means I cannot guarantee a product is free from an allergen and am therefore unable to take orders for those with allergies. Please inform me of any intolerances or allergies when placing an order.
CANCELLATIONS
If Liberty's Cottage Bakery has to cancel your order due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, I will give as much notice as possible and any payments will be refunded. If you need to cancel your order, please give as much notice as possible. Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to a new date if there is availability.
DAMAGE TO ORDER
Liberty's Cottage Bakery holds no responsibility for any damage to a cake/order once it has left the LCB premises. A suitable box will be provided for every order. Before collecting, you will be directed to the Care Instructions section of this website where you will find a full list of storage and transport instructions for each different product. Liberty's Cottage Bakery is not liable for any failure to follow the advice provided which can lead to damage to your order.
DESIGN
Please send any design ideas when ordering. Liberty's Cottage Bakery specialises in buttercream celebration cakes only, not fondant-covered cakes. I cannot replicate a design exactly but will use it as inspiration. Any changes to an order must be requested by a minimum of a week before the collection date. Changes after this time may not be viable. Inedible items such as card cake toppers, dried flowers and dowels may be used to achieve a design. It is your responsibility to remove these before consumption.
POTENTIAL PROBLEMS
Acceptance of an order on collection/delivery is final, any design queries should be raised then and there for rectifying. Complaints received after 48 hours will not be considered. If your comment is regarding taste, texture or hygiene, please store the cake in accordance with the care instructions and we will arrange collection to assess the complaints. Refunds will only be considered for orders that are returned after their condition has been assessed.
